Panel layouts can be drawn first and then you can insert the schematic component from the 
Panel List (Schematic ribbon tab > Insert Components pane > Icon Menu ê). However, this command only offers the insertion of schematic symbols from the schematic library Icon Menu. Utilising the 
Schematic Database File Editor (Schematic ribbon tab > Other Tools > ê) you can specify a “command” relating to the insertion rather than the Icon Menu thus enabling you to insert a parametric PLC automatically from the panel list of components.
