How can I “Copy” items from one AutoCAD drawing file to another or to a different windows application?
Answer
The key combination of CTRL + C will copy all selected objects to windows clipboard. CTRL + SHIFT + C will also carry out the same process but with the added function of specifying a base point. Both actions are also on the right mouse click menu under the “Clipboard” section. The “Paste” command is now required to add the selected objects into the other drawing or other windows application. This will work with most windows applications but not all programmes will accept AutoCAD objects.
