The new “Block Palette” has three tabs, the first, “Current Drawing”, shows all the blocks in the current drawing as shown in figure 1.
If there are several “Blocks” in the drawing, the list can be filtered using the “Filter” bar at the top of the dialogue, as shown in Figure 2.
Just enter all or part of the “Block” name followed by the wild card character “*”, to display the filtered list.
Next is the “Recent” tab which displays all the recently used “Blocks”, as shown in Figure 3.
Finally, is the “Other Drawing” tab, using this tab the user can navigate to any file which they have access to, display the “Blocks” contained in the selected file, then drag and drop the selected “Block” into the current drawing.
To locate a file, select the icon displaying the three dots at the top right of the palette to display the search dialogue, as shown in Figure 4.
Blocks can be dragged from any of the “Block” palette tabs into the current drawing.
Unfortunately, there is only one “Other Drawing” tab. It would be nice to have more than one and the file name displayed in the tab, hopefully in the next release!
